A high-speed collision occurred when an impaired driver operating an SUV rear-ended a pickup truck traveling within the posted speed limit. The impact caused both vehicles to lose control. Tragically, the pickup driver was rendered unconscious during the crash and subsequently drowned after his inverted vehicle came to rest in a flooded drainage ditch.
